His first performance was on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson which is one year after his network debut on The Flip Wilson Show.He has appeared in many films like Get Crazy (1983), Car Wash (1976), Hollywood Shuffle (1987), American Yakuza (1993), Sweet Revenge (1976), The 'Burbs (1989), the 1980 version of The Jazz Singer, Hysterical (1982) soon. The only movie I'd seen Franklyn Ajaye perform in was The Jazz Singer. I loved this movie and Franklyn played Bubba-he did a great job!
