She started her career as a stand-up comedian at Clyde's Comedy Club in New Orleans. She also appeared in a film Coneheads. She had a regular role in a short-lived Fox sitcom called Open House. She started in 2003, a daytime television talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She had hosted many award show including Emmy and Academy Awards.
