He participated in the Ranfurly Shield challenge in 1991 representing Horowhenua team against Auckland in his starting career. He was in the team Blues Super 12 up to 2005. After which he joined Northampton Saints. He signed with Golden Lions in 2010. He also played at the international level and his first test-match was against Argentina in Wellington.
