About Mia Hamm
Mia Hamm is a retired soccer player who won the two-time FIFA Women's World Cup champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist. From 1987?2004 he played for the United States women's national soccer team as forward. He was ranked at no. 3 in the history of U.S. national team. In 2001 and 2002 she was named as the FIFA World Player of the Year for two times. She is the global ambassador for FC Barcelona and also the co- owner of the Los Angeles FC. She is included on the board of directors of the 'Serie A club A.S. Roma'. Early Life of Mia Hamm
Mia Hamm was born on March 17, 1972, in Selma, Alabama. She is the daughter of Bill and Stephanie Hamm. She was born with the club foot due to which she wore corrective shoes as a toddler. In her childhood, she spent lot her time on various the United States Air Force bases in the world. She played soccer for the first time in Florence, Italy. For Notre Dame Catholic High School in Wichita Falls, Texas she plays football as a freshman in high school. Spent a year at Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, Virginia, and help there team to win 1989 state championships.

Career of Mia Hamm
While in university she starts playing football and in five years she helps the Tar Heels win four NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championships. Later she gets prepared for the 1991 FIFA Women's World Cup in China. With the ACC records for goals (103), assists (72), and total points (278) she graduated. In 1987, at the age of 15, she made debut for the United States women's national soccer team. She played at 1999 and 2003 in the United States, the inaugural 1991 in China, and 1995 in Sweden. She also guides her team for three Olympics that are 2000 in Sydney, 2004 in Athens and 1996 in Atlanta. In international tournaments, she played 45 matches and score 14 goals.

Achievements of Mia Hamm
For Tree consecutive years she named as the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Player of the Year and ACC Female Athlete of the Year in 1993 and 1994. In 1997 and 1999 by Women's Sports Foundation she was named as the 'Sportswoman of the Year'. She was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 2006 and also became first women who were inducted into World Football Hall of Fame in 2013.
