He wrote the song "Dream On" before the formation of the band "Aerosmith". The band's first five albums all gone multiplatinum. Joe Perry left the band in 1979, after a huge quarrel at a World Series of Rock concert in Cleveland. In 1981, Brad Whitford left the band. They again reunited and the band achieved superstardom. The band played at the Super Bowl XXXV in 2001.
