Career of John Phillips
Phillips started his music career in 1960. His first band was The Journeymen. He later became a member of the local vocal group Mamas and the Papas. He was known for being the leader of the group primarily serving as the songwriter and musical arranger. He released his first solo album in 1970 titled John, the Wolf King of L.A. His last work was a musical titled Andy Warhol Presents Man on the Moon released in 2009.
