Knew Al when he not yet famous hung with Bill Withers, Bill Henderson at The Times Jazz Supper Club on Ventura Blvd in the seventies. Irene Kral sang there as well. Al and Susan were on the brink of marriage. Very sweet and charming people. Al was great and we did his album party 1976.
