He started rapping when he was just 14 years old. His first professional recording credit was on the The Alkaholiks' Coast II Coast. His first studio album was "At the Speed of Life" released in October 1996. He rose to prominence with his singles like Paparazzi, What U See Is What U Get, and Front 2 Back. His album Man vs. Machine was well received. He also worked in films like Gridiron Gang, Sun Dogs and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans.
