• Taapsee Pannu was born and brought up in Sikh (Punjabi) family of Delhi. Her father who is typical Sikh man works in real estate company and mother is housewife. She has a 4 year younger sister Shagun Pannu
• She completed her schooling from Mata Jai Kaur Public School, Delhi and acquired B.Tech. in computer science from GTBIT College in Delhi.
• She started taking dance classes when she was in grade 4 and learned dance forms like Bharatanatyam and Kathak.
• One day while surfing net she saw “Get Gorgeous Pageant” of channel V and applied for it. Luckily got selected and soon became a recognized face. After this she participated in other beauty pageants and did many commercials. She was also getting offers from Tamil and Telugu films but she was not sure about getting into Tollywood as she was unfamiliar to south Indian languages but later she accepted offer and starting her acting career in Telugu, Tamil films.
