She started her career by playing supporting roles in Malayalam films like Kangaroo and Puthiya Mukham. She played a lead role in "Apoorva" and "Kalavani". She also worked in several small budget films. She appeared in the film like Moodar Koodam and the thriller Madha Yaanai Koottam. Her popularity in the Big Boss proved to be a career raiser for her and she had signed a film "Muni 4: Kanchana 3" after the Big Boss fame.
