She joined the acting industry in the late 1940s and started playing small roles in films and television series like My Hero, Romance on the High Seas, and If Winter Comes. She gained popularity with her character Vampira and reprised the character in several films like The Beat Generation Plan 9 from Outer Space, and The Big Operator.
