Films
He started his career with uncredited roles in 1950. He appeared as Honest Ha in Where Danger Lives, as Capt. Edwards in Bunco Squad, as Adams in Gambling House. In the following year also uncredited roles of Detective Mike and Fat Hoodlum in No Questions Asked and His Kind of Woman.
He appeared in Scarlet Angel as Phineas Calhoun in 1952. He was a Big Guy in 'She Couldn't Say No' and was Irish in 'Naked Alibi' which was released in 1954. In the next year, he appeared in It Came from Beneath the Sea as Navy Intern, All That Heaven Allows as Tom Allenby Headline Hunters as Robert, I'll Cry Tomorrow as Fat Man. He was Thomas J. Malone in Back from Eternity and was Dan Slocum in The Power and the Prize in 1956. He appeared in The Unholy Wife in 1957 as Dist. Atty. Carl Kramer and also in Pal Joey as Detective. He was Dist. Atty. Michael W. Norris in The Case Against Brooklyn and was Judge Simon Agry in Buchanan Rides Alone both released in 1958.
In the following year, he appeared in Buchanan Rides Alone with an uncredited role of State Police Detective and also in 1960 he had an uncredited role of Dr. Drake in This Rebel Breed. He appeared in seven episodes of the ABC/Warner Brothers western television series, Maverick. His performance was seen in ABC/WB series, Sugarfoot and the episode were "Devil to Pay". He appeared twice in ABC/WB western series, Colt .45. In 1958, he appeared as Archer Belgrade in "Circle of Fear". In 1959, he was Barnes in "Queen of Dixie". He played various characters in CBS's The Andy Griffith Show. In 1964, he was Ben Weaver in the episode "The Shoplifters." and was "Speaker Bert Metcalf" on the CBS drama series Slattery's People. He had made five appearances in NBC western series The Virginian in the 1960s. He performed three times in syndicated western anthology series, Death Valley Days. Also in ABC's Batman, he appeared in three episodes. His last appearance in television was in a made for TV movie The Marcus-Nelson Murders as Justice Redding.
