He started his career as a director. He directed the movies Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja and Prem but both didn't get success. This was like a barrier in his career but he never loses his confidence. His next movie "Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain " was the superhit. Furthermore, he also directed movies such as Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, Badhaai Ho Badhaai, and many more. Along with being a director, he is also a good actor too. He worked in many films like Jaane Bhi Do Yaarro, Mandi, Masoom, and more. He appeared in many television shows such as Sumit Sambhal Lega and May I Come In Madam?. Not only this he was also seen in the web series Scam 1992.
