He began his career in repertory theatre and got the role in television series "Dixon of Dock Green and Z-Cars". He appeared in films like Jabberwocky, Unidentified Flying Oddball and The Wildcats of St Trinian's. He appeared as Bob Ferris in The Likely Lads.
