Behr got his first acting job in the series Step by Step as Larry in 1994. His debut silver screen role was Mark's Lackey #2 in Pleasantville (1998). He became a household name for his lead character Max Evans in Roswell (1999-2002). The actor also appeared in American remake of the Japanese horror movie titled The Grudge.
