The actor is greatly remembered for working as Cato in the Pink Panther movies and as the Japanese army major Yamauchi in TV series Tenko. He launched his acting career in 1957 and done a minor role in film Windom's Way (1957) and made his initial TV appearance in the same year in TV series Hancock's Half Hour. He was a well-respected contributor to the acting community and done memorable roles in movies including Carry On Columbus (1992), Wake of Death (2004) and much more.
