He ventured into the entertainment industry in the late 1990s and started performing at music theatre. His first film role was in the film "Stardust." He appeared as John Whittaker in the comedy film " Easy Virtue." He played the titular character in the film "Dorian Gray." He was cast as King Caspian in the adventure film "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader." He appeared as Tom Ward in the fantasy film "Seventh Son."
