The British actor started acting at a very early age of nine and his childhood career credits are My Old Man and multiple theatre shows. He started his acting career through stage shows and theatre. He made his debut on television in 1979 by playing as Tomlinson in an episode of TV series Thomas &Sarah aired on ITV. Godley's first movie was in 2002 titled And Now... Ladies and Gentlemen in which he played the character of a son of London Jeweller. He made his Broadway debut in 2002.
