If you enjoy mathematics as a subject then you must know the name of Aryabhatta. He was perhaps the world's first mathematician. He is known for contributing several mathematical concepts like square and cube roots, the value of pi (π), and much more. His predictions and concepts like Earth's rotation on its axis are acceptable even today.

Some Lesser Known Facts About Aryabhata

He made many numerical and cosmic treatises and the 'Aryabhatiya' was his first major work from others.
The different topics in mathematics which he covered are arithmetic plane, algebra, and spherical trigonometry.
He said that the moon has no light on its own and we can see the moon because it reflects the light of the sun.
'Aryabhatta' is the first satellite of India which was named after him. The Indian research center called 'Aryabhata Research Institute of Observational Sciences' was named after him.
'Aryabhatta-Siddhanta' was composed by him at a very old age.
He also made the conclusion that the shape of the earth is round and we know about day and night because of its rotation on its own axis.
