If you ever visited the
Taj Mahal, you must know the name of its founder, Shah Jahan. He was the fifth Mughal emperor who ruled for about three decades. The emperor is still remembered for his efforts to make the Taj Mahal which he made in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Shah Jahan left examples of Mughal architecture and thus became an important topic while studying Indian history.

While other historians like Niccolao Manucci and K. S. Lal oppose this claim and said that the rumors were spread by Aurangzeb's supporters to spoil the image of Shah Jahan and Jahanara.
