He started working by painting posters in Mumbai. Later on, started painting billboard for Bollywood film industry. His first solo exhibition was organized in Zurich in 1952. His painting themes includes different topics like Gandhi, The Ramayana, British Raj and the Mahabharata. His painting “Voices” also auctioned at a high price.
