About Nehru Zoological Park
Nehru Zoological Park as the name suggests is a zoo situated in Hyderabad city of India. It spread in an area of 380 acres near Mir Alam Tank.. It was opened in October of 1963. Zoo has about 100 species of animals and approximately 1100 animals residing in the zoo. The zoo remains open from Tuesday to Sunday from 8:00 in the morning till 5:00 in the evening. The zoo charges Rupees fifty for an adult while Rupees 30 for a child (3 to 10 years) while on weekend the charges rises to Rs 60 for an adult and Rs 40 for a child. There are separate charges for camera, Lion Safari and toy train.
How To Reach Nehru Zoological Park
Nehru Zoological Park is situated close to Mir Alam Tank in Bahadurpura, Hyderabad. Several means of transport are available in the city that will take you to the location.

Bus
You can take a bus for Bahadurpura or Nehru Zoological Park otherwise you can leave your bus at Shivarampally bus stand, Shastripuram Bus Stand or Kishan Bagh Bus stop. After reaching there, you can take an auto-rickshaw or simply walk to reach the zoo.

Subway
Subway is also a convenient and economical method to reach the zoo. Some of the nearby subway stations are Gandhi Bhavan, MG Bus Station, Osmania Medical College, Sultan Bazaar, Nampally and Malakpet. After reaching there, take a taxi or auto-rickshaw that will leave you at the gate of the zoo.
