About Site of Palmyra
Palmyra is an ancient art in the governorate of Homs in Syria. The place has ruins of the Neolithic period. The area covered by the site is about 80 hectares. It has an influence on Aramaic, Greco-Roman, and Arabic culture. It is now managed by the Syrian Ministry of Culture. It was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 1980 and was placed on the list of endangered sites in the year 2013.
