Lavaux is an area located in Vaud of Switzerland. It is spread in about 898 hectares on the north shores of Lake Geneva. The area is popular for terraced vineyards. It was designated as the UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2007. It is also popular for the hiking trail from Saint-Saphorin to Lutry.
