About Arg e Bam
Arg-e Bam is an old fortress located in the city of Bam in Iran. It is estimated that the Citadel was built by Achaemenians in around 579?323 BC. It was included in the list of World Heritage Site in 2004 and remains in the list as an endangered site until 2013 when it was excluded from the list. It has its golden time during the seventh to eleventh centuries as it served as an important stoppage along the Silk Road.
