About Angkor
Angkor is an ancient city located in Cambodia. The city was founded in 802 AD by king Yasovarman I. The city is abandoned since 1431. The city was situated north of the Tonle Sap lake and south of the Kulen Hills. It is popular due to its magnificent temples which are over 1000 in counting. The famous temple of Angkor War is also situated here. Cambodian nationals do not need to buy a ticket while foreigners are required to pay for visiting the area.
