About Chitrakote Falls
Chitrakote Falls is formed through a 29 meters drop of the Indravati River at Chitrakoote. It is situated roughly 38 kilometers to the west of Jagdalpur city. Based in the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh, India, it is a cataract type fall that has 3 drops. The cascade is noted to be the widest fall in the country. It gets to a width of approximately 300 meters as the rainy season approaches. The cascading water hits into a pond formed in a semicircular shape at the bottom of the falls.
