Medium to advanced level trekkers enjoys the beauty of the lush green forests surrounding the forest. One can enjoy a dazzling view of this remote waterfall from the top of the Western Ghats.

- The fall is famous among locals as a picnic spot.
- According to the experts, the best time to visit the fall is between November and February, as the weather is pleasant, and there is less risk of slipping over the rugged cement steps as one discovers all the levels of the waterfall.
- It is created through a rivulet identified as Illimane that gushes down the Western Ghats because of which, it also goes by the name Illimane falls.
- The forest surrounding the falls is home to a diversity of birds and animals, which makes bird watching a famous leisure activity in the region.
- During the monsoons, it is suggested to avoid Trekking here as the steps and the rocky track gets slippery.
- Getting into the water is not recommended, as the water drop is rather violent here.
- There have been various deaths has been reported at the waterfall. In 2019, three students from Sirsi, Siddapur and Kerala died here after drowning.
