About Lim Chu Kang

Lim Chu Kang is an urban area in North Singapore. It is surrounded by Western Water Catchment in the west and south, the Straits of Johor in the north, and Sungei Kadut to the east. The village was founded by a Chinese immigrant named Neo Ao Tiew. The area is also popular for its pepper and gambier plantations. It covers an area of 17.3 kilometers square. Low Yen Ling is currently serving as mayor of the place.

The location is situated in the northwestern part of North Singapore and you can access using several means of transport available in Singapore.
Bus
If you opted for a bus journey then take a bus to a nearby bus stop. Some of the bus stops which are close to the location are Aft Neo Tiew Road, Aft Lim Chu Kang Lane 4, Bef Lim Chu Kang Lane 5, and Bef Lim Chu Kang Lane 3a. A small walk from these bus stands will take you to the location.
Train
Some of the nearby train stations are Kranji, Yew Tee, Choa Chu Kang and JB Sentral. After arriving at these stations, take any of the local transport options to take you to the location easily.

The area features Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve where you can have a look at the flora and fauna in mangrove forest. The place is also known for over 140 species of the birds. They also give binoculars on rent to have a close look for birds. But be careful about the crocodiles, it is said that the area also has crocodiles.
You can also see the landmark where Japanese troops first attacked Allied forces in Singapore at the time of the Second World War, It is known as Sarimbun Beach Landing Site.
Bollywood Veggies is also a popular attraction which is known for its organic produce. It also includes a museum and a culinary school.
Lim Chu Kang Nature Park is an upcoming project estimated to be open in 2022 which would prove as a paradise for outdoor lover. It also has playing area for kids and much more.
Gardenasia is a popular attraction where the visitors can get farm to table fresh food. Their menu includes baby romaine lettuce with croutons, Parmesan cheese with caesar dressing, mashed potato, farm-fresh boiled quail eggs, and many things you will love to have.
Though the area is full of natural beauty and many more attractions but it is also known for its spooky stories. It is said that the area around Choa Chu Kang Cemetery is haunted by a number of ghosts. Many taxi drivers have seen some ghostly figures standing in the middle of the road, especially during odd hours of the night. Some taxi drivers say that they saw some passengers near the area and when they stopped the person disappear.
It is also said that a lady was murdered after a fight between the couple in July 2016. The police authority had found burnt fabric, clumps of hair, and a burn mark on the ground but they do not find the body of the victim. It is said that the place is haunted by her restless spirit till now.
