According to folklore, a young woodsman lived in a cottage in the Bradley woods with his wife and son during the Wars of the Roses. The young man live his family to join the war and did not return after many months. His wife used to walk to the edge of the woods with her child in the awaiting of her husband. One day enemy army passed through the woods and the wife of the woodsman brutally raped by three horsemen and they also snatched her child from herself. After her death, people began to see her ghost wandering in the woods in her endless search.
