The Stone Forest is located in Shilin Yi Autonomous County, Yunnan Province of China. It is a limestone formation spread up to an area of 500 km. These formations are occurred due to weathering of limestone.

- A Torch festival is celebrated here by the Nuosuo people in the lunar month of each year. The festival features folk dancing and wrestling competitions.
