About Quinta da Juncosa
Quinta de Santo Antonio da Juncosa is a small farm in Portugal region. It is said to have built-in the 16th century. It belonged to the baron Luis de Lencastre Carneiro de Vasconcelos. He earned the title of Baron of Lajes. Baron died in 1933 and the farm is abandoned for over 75 years. The farm is popular because of its reputation of being haunted.
Some Lesser Known Facts About Quinta da Juncosa
- According to the legends, Baron who was the owner of the farm suspected his wife. He assumed that his wife is not faithful to him that?s why one day he tied her to one of the leg of his horse and dragged until she died. After her murder, he realized that she was innocent. Filled in guilt, he killed his children and also committed suicide. It is said, his soul did not found peace because of the guilt. According to locals, the ghosts of Baron and his wife have seen many times around the farm.

- Different from the legends, facts says that Baron died in 1933, however, his wife died about twenty years later in 1953.
