About Amsterdam Dungeon
The Amsterdam Dungeon is also an important tourist attraction in Amsterdam, Netherland. It follows the same pattern as York Dungeon, London Dungeon, Hamburg Dungeon, and Berlin Dungeon. It is also maintained by the same company Merlin Entertainments who controls other Dungeon sites. It tells the history of the place using interactive adventure. The place is open from Sunday to Friday from 11 in the morning to 5 in the evening. While on Saturday it is open from 11 am to 7 pm. It is located at just two minutes' walking distance from Amsterdam Museum. It was made using over 7.5 million Euro and was completed in 2006. The adults have to pay 20 Euro for the ticket while for children from age of five to fifteen, you have to pay 16 Euro.
Some Lesser Known Facts About Amsterdam Dungeon
- It gives information about the past of the city with the help of live actors, shows, rides, and special effects.
- The place is located under a Dutch Reformed Church which is just five minutes walking distance from Dam Square. It is easy to arrive here from Central Station using tram lines 4, 9, 16, 24, 25 in which you have to aboard at Rokin stop. If you are coming here using city tram 14 then also you have to arrive at stop Rokin.
- The dungeon is fully accessible by wheelchair. So need not worry if any member in your group is handicapped but they allow only one member to use a wheelchair in a group. They do not allow electric wheelchairs for safety reasons.
