  • Don't get confused with its name as it is not a monastery and no monks live there. The land of the site was donated by a local businessman and a devout Buddhist who started its making with a Buddhist monk whose mortals are displayed in the monastery.
  • If you are a vegetarian or vegan then you are at a suitable place as it has a Buddhist restaurant and Buddha was not in favor of cruelty to animals.
  • You can also visit nearby places like Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Po Fook Hill, Shatin Park and River, Tao Heung Museum of Food Culture, and Shtin Racecourse while visiting the Monastery.
  • The place is located at a walking distance from Sha Tin Station so it is easy to arrive there if you know how to reach the destination station using an MTR.
