About Birla Mandir, Hyderabad
Birla Mandir is a Hindu temple situated in Hyderabad city of Telangana, India. The temple was founded by Birla Foundation and was opened in 1976. It is situated on a 280 feet high hillock named Naubath Pahad. It covers an area of 13 acres. Mandir was inaugurated by Swami Ranganathananda of Ramakrishna Mission. The temple opens at seven in the morning every day up to 12 noon, the evening visiting time of the temple is from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Metro
Metro is the convenient and budget friendly means to reach the destination. The temple is situated close to Assembly and Lakdi-ka-pul Hyderabad metro station. After reaching there, you can walk or take an auto-rickshaw to reach the Birla temple easily.

If you are travelling by bus than you can take bus no 5K,5S,5 From Secunderabad to Mehadipatnam and from Uppal you have to take bus number 113. It is situated just two minutes walking distance from Assembly and is also close to Hussain Sagar Lake.

  • The temple is the finest example of secularism in India. Despite being a Hindu temple, Gurbani and other teachings are also engraved on its walls.
  • The building of the temple is a combination of Rajasthani, Dravidian and Utkala architecture. About 2000 tons of pure white marbles were used to construct this temple. It took about ten years to complete.
  • Inside the temple there is a large granite idol of Lord Venkateshwara which is about 11-feet tall. It also has a carved lotus which is like an umbrella on top of the idol.
