Believed to be one of the oldest streets in York, England, The Shambles is a popular tourist destination. The street is looked down on by many old timber-framed buildings, some of which are from the fourteenth century. Known by numerous names formally including Haymongergate, Nedlergate, The Great Flesh Shambles. Visitors can enjoy a tour of History and Mystery to capture the imagination and inspire the mind. It is seen as one of the best-preserved medieval shopping streets in Europe.

After reaching the York Station, the street is situated at a 15 min walking distance.

By Foot
The visitors can reach there going through George Hudson Street, crossing the River Ouse through Bridge Street. From Clifford Street, the travelers will have to take the turn to Cooper Gate. It can be found just beside the Mark & Spencer showroom before the St Crux Parish Hall.
