About Periyar National Park
Periyar National Park is an Indian national park situated in Kerala. The park is well known for elephant and tiger reserve. It was established more than four decades ago in 1984 and encompasses the area of 305 sq km situated high in the hills. The site is maintained and governed by state government agency that is Kerala department of forest and wildlife.
