Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary as the name suggests is a reserved area for various birds located in Senegal. The site is located on the southeast bank of the Senegal river. It is spread in an area of 160 kilometers square. The park was established in April 1971 and became a World Heritage Site in 1981. It was removed from the list of World Heritage Site in 2006. It could be visited all days of the week between 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
