About Wilanow Palace
Wilanów Palace was an official residence of the king of Poland situated in Wilanow district of Poland. The construction of the palace started in 1677 and ended in 1696 on the order of John III Sobieski. It was made in Baroque style by architect Augustyn Wincenty Locci. It is now converted into a museum that receives over three million visitors in a year. It could be visited any day of the week between 9:30 am to 9:00 pm.

- The palace remained safe despite two World Wars and the partition of Poland.
- It was also owned by other important families like Lubomirskis, and Sieniawskis after the death of King. Whenever the owner of the palace changed they changed the interior according to the new fashion.
- You can see beautiful paintings, sculptures,s and another magnificent interiors in the palace. It also contains various luxurious items which were imported from China and chinoiserie as its interior decoration was once done by Adam Kochanski who was a great admirer of China. The interior also includes costly items like a three-storeyed silver fountain, a silver pyramid with 11 baskets, and a silk baldachin that was gifted by the Shah of Persia.
