About Linares Palace
The palace of Linares is a historical monument situated in Madrid, Spain. It earned the status of national historic-artistic monument in the year 1976. The palace is located at the plaza de Cibeles. It was opened in 1877. The palace was designed by Carlos Colubí, and Adolf Ombrecht in the Baroque Revival architectural style. It is a beautiful piece of architecture. The palace remains open for public visit from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. You can have a visit of exhibition rooms, magazine library, newspaper, and magazine library alongside auditorium in the palace.

- According to the legends of the palace owners, it is said that the palace belonged to Jose de Murga, the Marquis of Linares, who married a tobacconist’s daughter. According to the belief, the ghost of the daughter still wanders in the palace crying for her mummy.
