About Istana Merdeka
Istana Merdeka is a palace located at Merdeka Square in Jakarta of Indonesia. It is one of the six presidential palaces situated in the country. The construction of the palace started in 1873 for the Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies. It was built in Neoclassical architecture and Indies Empire style by architect James Bartholomew Drossaers. It remains open all 24 hours. Ne entry fee is charged to visit the palace.

How To Reach Istana Merdeka
You can go there using Bus of route number 1A, 2D, and GR1. Going there by Bekasi Line train is also a good option. Your bus will leave you Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat 1b or at Monas 1 which are at 4 or 5 minute walking distance from the palace. Taman Monas and Permorin 1 are equally distant require a 6-minute walk to reach the palace. Other nearby bus stations are Komplek Majapahit Permal, Graha Bima, and Pecenongan 1 located at 8,9 and 10-minute walking distance respectively. The nearest train stations are Juanda and Kemayoran which require 17 minutes and 33 minutes walk to reach the destination.
