About Shivalik Fossil Park
Shivalik Fossil Park is a renowned fossil park located in Himachal Pradesh. The place was built to portray the collection of the earliest life of the animals or creatures and also the skeletons which were restored at the time of geological evolution at Shivalik. The park was established for scientific researches as well b great scholars from around the world.
History
The park was built in the year 1974. The structure was developed for keeping the maintenance of the fossils and animals from the early time. The museum was started in collaboration with the Geological Survey of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
How To Reach Shivalik Fossil Park
Shivalik Fossil Park is located at the Nagal Saketi in Himachal Pradesh which can be simply reached with the help of every means of transport.
By Bus
One who is traveling by Bus then he/she can drop off at the closest bus stands which are located at the distance of 10-20kms and these stands are Public Rain Shelter Bus Stop, Naraingarh Bus Stand and Tirlokpur Stand, Sadhaura Bus Stand, and Himachal Road Transport Corporation and it takes 20-40 minutes to arrive at the park via any public transport or a cab.
By Train
If the mode of traveling is by train then the traveler can visit the nearby stations which are located at the distance of 40-50km these rail stations are Barara station and Mustafabad Train Station and also the Tandal Station and these it takes 1 hour 10 minutes to enroute till the museum.
By Air
The airport located near the Shivalik Fossil Park is The Chandigarh International Airport which is at a distance of 71km and will take 1 hour 40 minutes to reach the park with the help of a taxi or any public transport ways.

- The park is said to be one of Asia's largest Fossil structures to exist for the exhibits.

- The park is also called Suketi Fossil Park because the museum is situated in the village named Suketi and also the fossils were originated from the popular river Markanada.
- : The collection inside the park includes the model of giant and large-sized animals such as four-horned giraffes, huge tortoises also the tusked elephants

- The place also has a miniature where its displays the data and also upper Siwalik rocks, which look the same as the Patwar Plateau.
