About Satria Mandala Museum
Satria Mandala Museum is a museum located in South Jakarta. It displays several artifacts, vehicles, and weapons belonging to the Indonesian Armed Forces. It is spread in an area of about 5.6 hectares. It was founded in October of 1972. You can visit the museum anytime between 9:00 am to 3:00 pm from Tuesday to Sunday. It remains closed on Monday. A ticket amount of 10000 Rupiah is required to enter the museum.

The place is just 8 kilometers south of Monas, you can reach there with a 10 or 15 minutes drive. You can also go there on an MRT ride. The nearest stations are Istora MRT station, Senayan MRT Station, and Ben Hill MRT station.
Some Lesser Known Facts About Satria Mandala Museum
- The museum gives a tribute to the national hero of Indonesia with squadron banners dedicated to General of the Army Sudirman, General Oerip Soemahordjo, General Suharto, and General Abdul Haris Nasution.
- You can see the sharpened bamboo sticks, hundreds of rifles, and other weapons belonging to the 1940s.
- The museum displays 75 dioramas belonging to the pre-independence rebellion which takes you at the time of the national revolution and you can create a picture of the whole occurrence in your mind.
- Various photographs relating to wartime are also exhibited in the museum.
- You can also see aircraft like Mansyu Ki-79, North American B-25 Mitchell, and others things like war machines, KRI Pattimura ship, Mil Mi-4 helicopter, tanks, and a Willys MB of Sudirman in the museum.
