The Museum is a popular spot for visitors. It showcases the island's history through the era of Pirates when Nassau was a pirate base. It is entertaining as well as educational. It also replica pirate ships that takes the tourists through the world of bloodthirsty pirates.

Some Lesser Known Facts About Pirate Museum

Nassau played an Important Role in the Age of Piracy, which went on from 1690 until 1720. The Island received more pirates than any other place in the world, which was mainly because of the location and surroundings of the region. These seamen long since no longer exist around Nassau, but their legacy remains.
The Museum is very interactive and even kids will enjoy this exhibition. It starts with visitors boarding a dock, lit only by the light of the moon. The sounds of lapping water and rowdy celebrations of Pirates sets the scene and then takes them to a different world.
Guests are also offered the opportunity to get near the wonderful replica of a historic pirate ship, named 'Revenge.'
It also tells the stories of the pirates that plundered and sailed, while displaying tools and weapons, plundered goods and treasure and ships used by them.
The limestone walls, rusted senescent cannons protecting the harbor entrance are hard to miss. It also includes hand-cut passageways which are alluring. After the tour of the museum, one may go on to Smuggler's restaurant!
