About National Museum of Natural History
National Museum of Natural History was a museum in New Delhi, India. It was founded in 1972 and was open to the general public in 1978. It was situated near the Mandi House, Metro station, and Connaught Place metro station. It was under the control of the Ministry of Environment and Forests which is a part of the government of India. The museum was destroyed in a devastating fire on April 26, 2016, in which the entire collection of the museum was burnt.
