About London Science Museum

The Science Museum is an important museum located in South Kensington, London. The museum was established in 1857. There are no entry fees to access the museum however there are some charges for the temporary exhibitions. It is situated at just three minutes' walking distance from Natural History Museum. The museum opens at ten in the morning and closes at six in the evening from Wednesday to Sunday. It remains closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Some Lesser Known Facts About London Science Museum

One of the important facts, the readers must know about the museum that the famous Wright flyer was shown in the museum. It was loaned to the museum by Orville Wright who denied donating it to the Smithsonian museum. Now there is a replica of the original which is kept in the museum and the original was returned to Smithsonian in the year 1948.
The old library of the museum served as a filming site for the film 'Ipcress File.'
