The museum is one of the historic buildings standing in the whole of Gujrat. The Kutch Museum was established in the year 1877. The museum was set up to portray the collection of Kshatrapa inscriptions. The museum is often seen curbed with international tourists and national as well. The museum is recorded in the list of most visited structures of Gujrat, India. History </b> The idea of constructing the Kutch Museum was imposed by the Maharao Khengarji. The leader decided to build a structure to preserve and store the gifts and some authentic items he received in his marriage in the year 1884. Kutch Museum was a mainspring starred by the popular Governor of Bombay named James Fergusson and due to this museum was initially named as the Fergusson Museum. The museum's name was later changed to Kutch Museum.
