Kerala Soil Museum is one of the magnificent museums based in Kerala, India. It was set up in the year 2014. The museum is the first-ever place that displayed the condition of the soil and also portrays the different soil. The museum is recorded among the list of top visited places of Kerala.
The museum is operational to the public for 5 days. It remains closed on Sundays and Second Saturdays and the timings to visit the museum are 10:00 AM -05:00 PM. The entry ticket for the museum is Rs 30 for an adult and Rs 20 for college students.
History
The museum was set up to conserve the soil of Kerala as well as the minerals. The museum was built to spread awareness among the youth in the prevention of soil and people will surely experience the abundance of different kinds of soils in the state.
