About Government Museum and Art Gallery
The museum is among one of the renowned structures of North India. It is dedicated to the collection of various paintings and sculptures like Pahari, Gandharan, and Rajasthani little portraits to display. The museum is often seen curbed with travelers and the place is noted in the list of top visited museums of North India.
A nominal fee of INR 10 per person is charged to access the museum. The museum opens at 10:00 am and closes at 4:30 pm from Tuesday to Sunday. It remains closed on Monday.

History
The museum was established in the year 1968 by a French designer named Le Corbusier. The museum was built before the partition of India. The museum collection was later divided between India & Pakistan in the year 1948.
