About Goa State Museum
Goa State Museum is one of the magnificent museums based in Goa. The museum was set up in the year 1977, which was constructed to portray the past time scenario of the art & craft and geology of Goa. The museum is also called by his second name as State Archaeology Museum, and Panaji. The museum is always seen curbed with travelers and the museum is counted among the most visited places of Goa.
HISTORY
The museum was initially established as Archaeology Museum and later it got its current name. The museum building was first on lease but after the formation of the new building and then it was launched in the year 1996 by the President of India.

How To Reach Goa State Museum
Your destination is located near the Adil Shah Palace and in the Patto Colony which is the center of Goa and an easily accessible location for all means of transport.

The bus stands closest to the museum is Patto Footbridge Bus Stand, Panaji KTC Bus Stand, Interstate Bus Terminal, and Paulo Bus Terminal near Panjim Bus Stand and these stands are distant at 4-7 km away from the museum and can be routed in 10-15 minutes with the help of cab /taxi or any public transport service.
